The quintessential creamy coffee classic. A Latte consists of a generous amount of steamed milk blended with a shot of espresso, topped with a very thin, delicate layer of foam. It is mild, smooth, and the perfect canvas for latte art.
1. Extract Espresso: Brew a single or double shot of espresso into the bottom of a large glass or mug (approx. 240–300ml). 2. Steam Milk: Steam fresh milk until it is hot and silky, creating only a small amount of light froth on top. 3. The Pour: Slowly pour the steamed milk over the espresso, holding back the foam with a spoon until the cup is nearly full. 4. Top: Finish by spooning a thin layer (about 1cm) of milk foam over the surface.
