The Spanish Latte is a creamy, dream-like espresso drink that stands out for its unique sweetness. Unlike a traditional latte, it uses a base of condensed milk combined with steamed regular milk, creating a richer texture and a mellow, velvety flavor. It is a perfect choice for those who enjoy a sweet coffee without the sharpness of flavored syrups.
1. Pour 1–2 tablespoons of sweetened condensed milk into the bottom of a glass or cup. 2. Extract a fresh double shot of espresso (60 ml) and pour it directly over the condensed milk. Stir well until the two are fully combined. 3. Froth about 150-180 ml of whole milk (or a plant-based alternative like oat milk) to a silky, micro-foam consistency, similar to a flat white. 4. Gently pour the steamed milk into the coffee mixture. Aim for a thin layer of foam on top. 5. For an extra aromatic experience, sprinkle a pinch of ground cinnamon or cocoa powder on top.
